Like many businesses, we recently welcomed our employees back to the office. But returning employees received a welcome unlike any other.
Big Boi, part of the southern hip-hop duo OutKast, was on hand to officially welcome employees to the office and to share stories from his career as a rapper, songwriter, actor, and record producer.
Our president - Chris Fuller told surprised employees that Big Boi was Transcard’s “CEO for the day.”
Also, in attendance were several candidates for Transcard’s AccelUp program, an accelerator program for minority-owned start-ups in Chattanooga. Food was catered by Lil Mama’s. Security for the event was provided by G-Force Security, the first member of the AccelUp program.
The reopening of our offices was the first time that most of the company’s employees worked in its corporate headquarters full time. We opened our new four-story office space in downtown Chattanooga during the pandemic when most employees worked remotely.
“This day was 3½ years in the making,”
Fuller told employees.
Referring to the date when we began our effort to convert the oldest commercial building in Chattanooga into our new headquarters.
Today, our offices with its open space design are ideal for employee collaboration.
