IndyCar Champ Meets the Leader in Fast Payments

Transcard
July 30, 2021

Fast cars & fast payments converged at Transcard’s global headquarters in July.

Four-time Indy 500 champ Helio Castroneves made a pit stop at Transcard’s offices in Chattanooga, TN, in advance of his participation in the inaugural Big Machine Music City Grand Prix, August 6-8, in Nashville. Transcard is partnering with Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) to sponsor Castroneves during street racing event.

While in Chattanooga, Castroneves toured Transcard’s offices, met with Transcard employees, and got a peek at Transcard’s SMART solutions for payments automation. Castroneves also checked out his new two-tone blue Transcard car, which will debut in Nashville.

"Now having Transcard on our car it’s looking amazing, and we’re looking forward to putting on another great track."

said Castroneves.

Racing fans also had a chance to meet Castroneves and see his No. 06 Honda-powered Dallara up close during an event at Miller Park in downtown Chattanooga, a block away from Transcard’s headquarters.

The Transcard-sponsored event included local food and drinks and a chance for fans to get an autograph from the IndyCar champ and have their picture taken with him and his No. 06 car.

“The Big Machine Music City Grand Prix will be a race unlike any other. And Helio Castroneves is an IndyCar driver unlike any other. That’s why it made sense for Transcard, a pioneer in payments automation, to sponsor Helio and be a part of this racing event,”

said Transcard CEO Greg Bloh.

The Big Machine Music City Grand Prix is expected to be one of the largest events on the IndyCar calendar this year. The new 2.17-mile track features the first-ever motorsports course to cross a major body of water as competitors will race across 556 yards of the Korean War Veterans Memorial Bridge.

The event is expected to deliver a wide range of entertainment beyond the street racing, making for a three-day celebration of music, food and fan culture that is unique to Nashville.
